Dark Forces for Macintosh Help, for those of you WITH THE NEED FOR SPEED! This was written by Justin Bakst (SimonexF16) with his knowledge and testing results of different options!
Tip 1) In the preferences, make sure the “Quit all other Applications” box is checked.
Tip 2) Also in the preferences, make sure that the Turn off Music box is checked, and not the Reduce Texture Quality.
Tip 3) A good screen size to run it at is 512x? (whatever it may be, i forgot!)
Tip 4) Under Get Info of the Dark Forces Application, make the minimum RAM requirement 6500 and the Recommended 8500.
Tip 5) When you install Dark Forces, install the Large Install (35 MB). It since it has a larger Data File, less Data Files need to be retrieved from the CD during game play, which will cause slower play.
